William (Billy) Adams III, PE, has joined the AKS engineering team as a Roadway Project Engineer, where he will design and manage transportation improvement projects.
Adams brings 12 years of roadway engineering experience to AKS, specializing in collector and arterial design, including roundabouts. At his former company, CH2M, Adams managed multi-discipline design teams on transportation improvement projects, with specific experience in projects that showcased sustainable/low-impact design. Over the years, he has worked on an array of transportation projects for various local municipalities, counties, and ODOT.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to join a team with such a comprehensive breadth of expertise. I look forward to enhancing AKS’ roadway engineering capabilities,” stated Adams in his acceptance letter.
Adams holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University and is a registered Professional Engineer in Oregon. While attending Oregon State, he participated in the University’s Civil Engineering Cooperative Internship program (CECOP), working as an intern for the City of Portland Bureau of Water Works and David Evans & Associates.
