Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, 84 remodeling companies from across the United States were named winners at the 2016 Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure. A project completed by local business Cooper Design Builders won the Regional Award for Whole House remodels in the $300,000-$700,000 dollar category.
The owners of this close-to-downtown Vancouver, WA home desired a quality built, energy efficient, and light filled home that they could retire in. Their new home is LEED Platinum certified, featuring 3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, an office, and a laundry/mudroom all efficiently integrated onto a modest sized lot. This home is built for aging-in-place and includes a master suite on the main level, and a no-step shower and garage. COOPER Design Builders executed this design with the utmost care and craftsmanship which our clients (and the neighborhood) greatly appreciated.
“This was the first year they have entered the awards, and to take home top honors on the first attempt is impressive,” says Ken Kanline, Director of the Awards.
The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1994, recognizes the nation’s best work in fifteen general categories of residential and commercial remodeling. The Chrysalis Awards are open to every professional remodeler and design professional in the United States.
