Free music classes for very young children hosted by Willamette Valley Music Together®
Families are invited to bring their infants, toddlers, and preschool children to attend a free music class in September. The Music Together® curriculum is a rich, immersive music and movement program specifically designed for very young learners and their grownups. Now enrolling for the fall semester, attending a free demonstration class is the best way for families to try the program and explore our fun musical kids activities. Not just a mommy and me class, daddies and grandparents love it too!
Two types of music classes are available to try. There’s a Mixed Ages class for children age birth through kindergarten which is great for siblings to attend together. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, and exploring musical instruments. The Babies Class has special techniques for infants under 8 months. In the music class for babies, a Music Together teacher® will show adults how you can support your baby's music development through simple and fun activities.
Willamette Valley Music Together is hosting classes September 13, 14, 15, & 16 in various locations, and the classes will be held between 8:45 am & 1:45 pm. Led by Wendy Reznicsek, Willamette Valley Music Together serves the communities of Sherwood, Wilsonville, Canby, and Oregon City since 2013.

More about Music Together®
Music Together® pioneered the concept that all children are sounders and movers, and their natural aptitude for music blossoms in a sufficiently rich music environment. In fact, when given a supportive music environment, children learn to sing and dance as naturally as they learn to walk and talk. Now, for hundreds of thousands of families worldwide, Music Together® is children and their grownups joyfully sharing songs, rhymes, movement, and instrument play, both in music class and in their daily lives.
Music Learning Supports All Learning®
Wiggling, singing, and laughing with the children in class is so much fun—it’s easy to forget how much learning is taking place! Our research-based curriculum not only develops music skills, it nurtures creativity, self-expression, and confidence while also supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Because these benefits build over time, children enjoy the fullest growth in each of these areas when they participate as consistently as possible up through kindergarten.
The Adult Caregiver Role Is Essential.
Young children learn through play and experimentation and by watching and listening to the grownups they love. Setting an example as an enthusiastic participator in music activities is the best thing any parent or caregiver can do to help set a child on the road to a lifelong love of music. Parents don't need to have music skills—they just need a desire to play and have fun with their children! Music Together® teachers are specially trained to create a safe atmosphere so families can happily join in, experiment, or even get silly—and feel closer to your child while doing so.
