Dogwood Pet Hospital has been collecting pet food for SnowCap's emergency food boxes for over a decade. In the past 24 months, we have collected 7000 pounds and $2100 (enough to buy at least 4000 pounds more) for SnowCap, and are launching our drive for the 2018 Christmas season.
When a family falls on hard times, they look at their hungry pets and share with their dog or cat the food that was intended for the people. Adding pet food to the pantry keeps the food intended for people available for people.
There is always need for more, and donations of pet food (open bags are also accepted) and cash contributions may be brought to Dogwood Pet Hospital all year – our barrel is always out.
SnowCap is run by local churches and has both a food pantry and a clothing closet. The organization serves Multnomah County families east of 82nd Ave.
Dogwood Pet Hospital is locally owned and operated, focusing on top quality medical care for your pets. Dogwood is the only independently-owned practice in the Gresham area accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Accredited hospitals are the only hospitals that choose to be evaluated on approximately 900 quality standards that go above and beyond basic state regulations, ranging from patient care and pain management to staff training and advanced diagnostic services. AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry, and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine. AAHA standards are continuously reviewed and updated to keep accredited practices on the cutting edge of veterinary excellence.
Pet owners look for AAHA-accredited hospitals because they value their pet’s health and trust the consistent, expert care provided by the entire health care team. At AAHA-accredited practices, pet owners can expect to receive the highest quality care from well-trained, professional veterinary teams.
