BEND, OR, JULY 20: The “Salute to Veterans” Golf Scramble benefit for Central Oregon Veterans Outreach (COVO) is happening August 18, 2018 at River’s Edge Golf Course in Bend, OR. This is the fourth annual golf scramble to support COVO’s services to Veterans and the homeless community of Central Oregon. “Each year this golf event is just a lot of fun for everyone who comes to play.”, shared COVO’s Executive Director, Navy Veteran JW Terry. “Every player and sponsor knows their donation goes to help folks who come through COVO’s doors feeling desperate, and leave knowing they have people on their side who respect them.”
The event opens with a Welcome Gathering at 7:30 a.m. and the Shotgun Start is at 8 a.m. Players enjoy 18-holes of play, golf cart, lunch from River’s Edge Bogey’s Café, on course events and prizes. Raffle items include golf and restaurant packages, and more. Teams or individuals are welcome to join the fun. ABOUT COVO: COVO provides hope and help to homeless Veterans and their families, Veterans struggling to keep their lives safe and stable, and the homeless community in Central Oregon.
