ALOHA, OR (4/15/21) - The Aloha Community Farmers’ Market (ACFM) will hold its first market of the season on Thursday, May 6th. They will be returning to the Farmington Market Place on Kinnaman & Farmington Roads in Aloha.
“We’re starting our 6th season in the heart of Aloha,” said market manager, Kyra Ramsay “Where you can find delicious, nutritious farm-fresh food and beautifully handcrafted items from local artisans. Shoppers can enjoy listening to local musicians play on the speakers. And kiddos can pick up a Market Sprouts Activity To-Go bag.”
As the season advances, more than 30 vendors will participate in this outdoor market. Pedestrians can enter and exit the market from the north near the pharmacy or the east along the sidewalk.
Market hours will be 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Masks are required to be worn, ages 5 and up, in the market. All safety protocols from last season are in place and can be found on their website at: www.alohacommunityfarmersmarket.org
Cash and Credit/Debit are accepted at the market. SNAP/EBT is also accepted and the market will match up to $10 with Double Up Food Bucks. And FDNP checks are accepted at participating vendors. Dogs are allowed on a non-retractable leash.
The market also offers ordering online and pickup at the market by using the online ordering www.sourcewhatsgood.com.
“Everyone should have access to healthy, fresh, affordable produce. Right now 1 in 4 households have food insecurity in Oregon. We are fortunate to be able to match SNAP up to $10 with Double Up Food Bucks with the help from our partners at the Farmers Market Fund. We have made it a priority to ensure the safest shopping experience to local food access.” Ramsay said.
